This rug is so beautiful! Soft and cuddley.I got the 6ft round rug for my young daughter’s room and I have 2 dogs and I needed a rug that was big but still 100% washable.I’ve washed it twice. Once in a bathtub with kukaburra sheepskin/rug wash and it was a pain. Absorbed SO much water and I could barely pick it up without hurting my back. Probably weighed 50+lbs. It was so water logged that it took too long to dry and ended up with a dank damp smell so I put it away for a few months after it dried completely. I was disappointed.Fast forward to today when I decided to wash it again. I decided to try it in the washing machine with the kukaburra wash again and added Free and clear laundry sanitizer. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I think the spinning of the washing machine solved the water log problem I had when hand washing before. I tossed it in the dryer on NO heat for a few hours and when it was dry, I cannot stress this enough—- YOU MUST BRUSH OUT THIS RUG WITH A SLICKER BRUSH! My pics are before brushing and after. Before it looks like an air-dried/wet dog. After brushing, it looks like a beautiful fur. And Zero smell!This rug requires a little bit of care but is so well worth it and the price is great.
