Helpful for those that are not familiar with a particular technology that is covered. Teaches concepts of installation and setup including order of progress, but DOES NOT get very detailed-- for example, it might say "Land wire on outputs 1-4", but doesn't go into the detail of which exact conductor of each cable or any sort of step-by-step process of installation; in other words, this is NOT an installation GUIDE. There are a few photos and diagrams, but usually this is again just for overview or concept purposes. This particular edition (2012) has various outdated material, such as limited available broadband speeds for internet and use of CD players and recording onto VHS tapes.
