My hands are big and the fit was tight but adequate at the XL size. When I pulled one of the nylon cords to tighten the gauntlet the plastic end came off. I was able to reattach it, but I will not hold that plastic retainer when I tighten the gloves in the future. I wish it had the additional tie down nylon strap that goes around the wrist on the Obermeyer gloves that I bought 20 years ago. Other than that I bought the gloves for the same reason I bought the originals. I would give them a five rating except for those two design flaws.
