I've been getting this through a different (semi-local) source, at a SUBSTANTIALLY lower price, considering the longish drive and effort worthwhile for these excellent CFSs.I've made the run three times for 40-ct boxes, stuffing half my freezer and getting me by for as year (in combination with McCormick's original country gravy).I'd have to check with source next time to see whether this price is out-of-line (allowing for still-frozen delivery) or if prices have gone nuts in the last year.I vouch for quality of the product itself, but some accounts suggest poor handling and storage thru Amazon. Breakage, shedded crust, partial thaw, stuff like that. The patties are flat, ⅓ pound burger-like, but while meat has been tenderized, it is not ground. The crust has a nice flavor, and best fried (instead of microwaved, baked, etc).Best deep-fried (peanut oil?), blotted of excess grease, and served with generous amounts of thickened, lumpy country gravy.
