The company switched brands sometime last year. Many comments and answers refer to previous product.Having said that, I am mostly happy with this product. It is working as promised. The reason it is 4 stars is the lights. The pendant lights up regularly while wore which gives one the appearance of a Christmas tree and is definitely not discreet (even under a blouse or sweater). The charging stand also has a bright red light. The two lights together made my bedroom too bright for sleeping. My final solution was to use black electrical tape to mostly cover the stand light and to completely cover the light on the pendant (still a slight glow). I press the charge info button on waking to make sure it is charged.I am pleased with company. I charged the phone upon receipt and called the phone # provided. They took over from there and did all connections and testing while the alert pendant was in charging stand. I provided my contacts and within a few hours all of the contacts had been texted phone # & company name that would show if they were texted in an emergency. They added this to their contact list (two named it MOM alert). I recommend Home&Wellness as an easy, responsive company to work with and their Senior Safety Medical Alert Device with Fall Detection very good product once I dimmed the lights.UPDATE: I was sitting on a footstool and slid off. Couldn't get up. Pushed my little button and told the agent I wasn't hurt, but needed help from my daughter. I barely finished when my daughter called to see if I was ok. All of my contacts were contacted and could see each other's phone texts. The system worked great. Upgrading to 5 stars.After an exhaustive search of medical alert devices I decided on the Home & wellness one since it has fall detection & GPS at no extra cost plus 4 free months monthly fee. I like the appearance of it & it seems to be quality built. It is on the thick side & a little heavy but I'm certain no more than necessary by the manufacturer. After taking photos of the contract you have an option of texting it or e-mailing it which is what I did. After a few hours I got an email that it was activated. I had it on the charger a couple of hours & as per instructions I pressed the side button to do a test which only took a few seconds. I also pressed the help button to talk directly to the help center. It took 20 seconds to be connected with a gentleman who was very helpful after telling him this was a test call. Last night I heard a loud voice telling me my battery was low & to charge my device. I was alarmed at first because I had read it would send you an email when it needed charged. Good feature I think. I got the optional belt holster to carry it when away from the house rather than the lanyard. Although I have not needed to press the help button yet I have the piece of mind knowing in an emergency help is just a button push away. I highly recommend this device.I have to be the first to admit that I needed this, but I do.I have neurothopy in both my feet, causing walking very difficult, and have fallen multiple times, once breaking my toilet lid, with my head, and once they thought I had broken my back. This means my husband is more comfortable leaving me alone while he runs errands, knowing help is right here. I know it works, not because I fell, but because I put it on the charger with too much force, and next thing I knew, charger was ringing and nice person asked if I fell and needed help. My ONLY complaint is the strap that which holds the call button, keeps slipping, making it too long for my liking. It keeps getting tangled with my eyeglasses chain, causing the alarm to go off!I purchased this product several months ago due to a medical condition that caused me to faint with little or no notice. After several falls, my spouse was concerned about leaving alone, even in the next room. Because I'm not an iPhone person, I wasn't interested in the cost and complexity of buying an iPhone and iWatch just to monitor my falls. Fortunately, I discovered the Belle+ device. Within minutes of opening the box, I was online and monitored for falls. I had several interactions with the monitoring personnel and they were very helpful and caring. And, I even live in a relatively week cellular environment and yet did not have any difficulty with the service.Fortunately, my medical condition was resolved within a month or so and I haven't had any further need to continue active monitoring. But, there is no question that the Belle+ gave me and my spouse an immense feeling of comfort that I would be actively monitored even when I was alone. And, because I don't currently require monitoring, I am able to keep the Belle+ device, discontinue the monitoring service for now and merely reactivate the service if my condition reoccurs. Try taking back an iPhone and iWatch when you don't need them anymore!We purchased this service for my mother who was having problems with falling. Unfortunately we just recently lost her due to Covid. In the end the service was invaluable. Without the service my mother's life as well as mine and my sibling's lives would have been extremely more stressful. The service did an excellent job of helping my family feel more at ease knowing we would be notified immediately if either our mother needed assistance or if she fell and was unable to notify anybody. I am now a huge proponent of your service. If you have a loved one who has issues that would benefit from this service I whole heartedly encourage you to get this service. You cannot put a price on piece of mind.
