This book is full of straightforward explanations on a multitude of sewing and garment construction techniques. Initially I didn't think I would like because it's not full of real life, color photographs and instead uses simple drawings; however the explanations of the various techniques are VERY simple and straightforward and easy to understand. As a sewing novice, this book is my first line of defense when I come across a new sewing techniques and need to learn how to do it properly, much more so than my other colorful books with lots of photos. A must have for any new seamstress!
