This hide is dehaired and cured, but not tanned. Just soak in water and it will easily cut, mold, shape, and form. Once it dries, it will stiffen and retain its shape. Average hide is 20-24 square feet. Rawhide dates all the way back to the early Native Americans. It is very firm because it has not been tanned- it has only been dehaired and cured.
