Bought this in advance of a week at a fly-in fishing trip up in Ontario. Wanted something that could hold tackle and lures for all the species, could stand up to the elements, and make the trips through some long, swampy portages.Happy to report it performed admirably, though I would have preferred the backpack straps of the next size up on the portages. Even still, the shoulder strap was fine for those occasions.PROS:- the magnets work well, and I found them useful for rape measure, lures, and pliers especially in the some of the aluminum boats we used that didn’t have flat bottoms- plenty of storage for a full day of fishing multiple species, and the ability to switch out different 3700 size cases depending on what you’re fishing for makes it more versatile than a traditional tackle box- sturdy construction with big plastic zippers, canvas outer, and the molded base; I’d classify it as a box as opposed to a bagCONS:- kind of reaching on these, but you sacrifice a short handle on top for the magnets, which to me was a positive trade-off- would like a few loops on the outside for carabiners to attach for a towel, tools on lanyards, etc. As it is, I attached these inside the front pocket and on the strap attachmentTL;DR: Love it; would buy again.
