This is a great alternative to high priced prep courses. The author actually explains HOW and WHAT to read for and gives step by step directions on answering all of the question types. He also sets out a DETAILED study plan to follow and explains how you can adjust the plan or make your own plan to fit your exact needs. The FREE supplemental package and "test timing" cd really help. Makes your practice tests just like the real thing! You must be disciplined to get the most benefit from this book. I used it haphazardly and for a very minimal amount of time but still raised my score 6 points from my first real (not practice) test. I will be taking the test again (yes, for the 3rd time) and have been following Clarity's recommendations and fully expect to raise my score again by more than enough to get the scholarship I only need 5 more points for. You will need past LSAT tests that are not included, but author tells you that up front, and they are a good price on Amazon vs LSAC website. Clarity also offers personalized prep courses that are a steal compared to the "name brand" companies, and judging from this book I think the Clarity course would be just as good if not better due to the savings! I have been out of school for many years and have a family, so I have really researched LSAT prep books and courses to get the best test prep as well as the best bang for my buck...Clarity is definitely it!
