Zinc is a blue-white metal. The density is 7.14 g/cubic centimeter and the melting point is 419.5℃ . At room temperature, it is brittle; it softens at 100 - 150℃; and becomes brittle after exceeding 200℃. The chemical properties of zinc are active. A thin and compact zinc carbonate film is formed on the surface of zinc carbonate in air at room temperature, which can prevent further oxidation. Zinc oxidation is intense when the temperature reaches 225℃. Zinc is easy to dissolve in acid and replace gold, silver and copper from solution. Zinc exists mostly in sulfide state in nature. The main zinc mineral is sphalerite. There are also small amounts of oxidized ore, such as smithsonite, such as smithsonite and heteropolar ore.
Purity Zn > 99.99%
Most zinc SHEET / PLATE is used to galvanise other metals, such as iron, to prevent rusting. Galvanised steel is used for car bodies, street lamp posts, safety barriers and suspension bridges. It is also used in photo engraving and etching.
Large quantities of zinc SHEET / PLATE are used to produce die-castings, which are important in the automobile, electrical and hardware industries. Zinc is also used in alloys such as brass, nickel silver and aluminium solder.
Zinc SHEET / PLATEs / sheets is widely used in the prepare of very many products such as paints, rubber, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, plastics, inks, soaps, batteries, textiles and electrical equipment.
