I bought the 'tan' mats and it was a mistake for me as I really wanted the maroon ones. However, I thought 'tan' meant light so it would show less dirt & mess as we use our kitchen a lot, all day long. The photo on Amazon when I click on tan, is a lighter color than the actual mat by far. The 'tan' mat actually is brown, a medium brown. It shows dirt & water drops & everything possible. I'm glad to have the mats for their comfort but am wishing the 'tan' was really tan. The other thing to consider, which most people are likely better at than I am, the size. If possible, choose a large mat to cover more space rather than buying several different ones to scatter on the floor space. Having never used mats before, I thought a few mats at the places where they are most needed would work well. It does not. In between the mats dirt collects quickly. The mats also shift a bit with use, thus having to adjust them several times a day. I thought I was saving money by getting the most used space covered in this way but it's proven to be a real burden. These mats are deep enough so when one shifts from mat to floor, there is a real shift to deal with. I wish I had bought a bigger, continuous mat for the larger surface space needed. These mats are a tremendous help in the kitchen but because of their appearance, I'm almost sorry I got them. My kitchen looks worse for having them even though there is more comfort in standing in one place for a long time. Anyway, spend the money & get the size & color you want as you will have to live with them a long time.Update: I have finally removed the mats after about 3 years as they are very hard to clean, dirt piles up around & underneath & I can't keep up. I sweep over & all around them but I've found too much is left behind around edges and to clean under them is a challenge as they are heavy. I will miss the comfort of them but the care & feeding is more than I can manage. I'm sorry I bought them.I have been researching anti-fatigue floor mats for several weeks and reading reviews all over the web. I finally decided on purchasing the Wellness anti-fatigue mat for my kitchen. After several weeks of use I can say that I am delighted with my choice of the Wellness mat. I was initially concerned about the price but this mat is superior to any other mat I have stood on. The mat is wonderful during long prep sessions at the kitchen counter that involve standing in place. I have used it while cooking in shoes or in slippers or just in socks. It is supremely comfortable no matter what you have on your feet. I also like the fact that after a cooking session I can wipe it down with a wet sponge and towel and it cleans up like new. I have spilled different liquids on it and I then just take it ouside and hose it down for a thorough cleaning. I expect this mat will last for many years and the Wellness mat comes with a 7-year warranty. It is more expensive than other floor mats but the Wellness mat is very durable and is a high-quality product.I purchased two of the mats for a 2010 Christmas present for my wife. We have tile floors in the kitchen, and these mats were recommended by a friend. They seem to work as claimed, but I'm a bit concerned by what appear to be bubbles in the material. I'm almost certain at some point, with use, these thin spots will tear and we'll end up with mats that have holes or voids in them (some of the bubbles are about the size of a dime). We'll see how they hold up long term. Another brand had reported issues with curling edges, so I decided to purchase this brand instead. Hopefully I won't regret that decision.I have one of these, and it was so wonderful, I purchased another for my mom. These do not move around and they do not warp like similarly-priced ones that are a different brand. We both about killed ourselves on other brands, but this one is wonderful! I've had mine over six months, and it is still as wonderful as the first day I got it.Both my husband and I have lower back problems and standing on the hard kitchen floor would cause us pain. The matts aleviate lowerback pain and make it possible to stay in the kitchen longer than we did in the past. We bought the light brown matts and they show dirt and stains more than I assume the black matts do however; they are easy to clean so no biggie. This is a must purchase if you spend lots of time cooking.This mat is incredible. Having previously used a "gel" mat, this is clearly superior. Much more cushioning and very comfortable on my feet. I ordered the tan which I would call a caramel color. Pretty good match to the picture. Have had it a few months and it still looks new. I just wipe clean every so often.This mat also stay put much better than my old one. Made in USA is also a plus.Living in a big city, I shopped in stores, researched online, and inquired of people using the various anti-fatigue mats. Wellness brand mat is a superior product that suits my needs in my kitchen. With Satillo tile floors and arthritis/bursitis, the mats provide cushion and comfort to me. I just wish I could get one 12' long mat instead of two 6' ones. As long as I'm wishing, maybe I should wish for the entire floor to be a Wellness mat.I stand at work for 10 hour shifts, and this mat is a lifesaver! My feet/heels before the mat would just kill me most of the time, some nights I barely could walk around they hurt so bad. Now that I have the mat, my feet do still hurt a little, but it is way less than before!
