Fantastic guidebook. THE book for roped climbing at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, NV. Currently the 3rd print run of the 2nd edition (so actually info newer than 2016 like it says inside the cover). Every time Jerry Handren has done a print run he makes minor updates, including new routes as long as the page count stays the same. The used and new prices people are listing this for are ridiculous. It's not a hard book to buy. Order it direct from his site: redrocksguidebook.com for $48 with free shipping or buy it in person at Desert Rock Sports, the climbing focused gear shop in Las Vegas for $50 plus tax. (I work there). You don't find it commonly at other gear shops or Amazon because he doesn't like bothering with shipping cases and cases of books. As Jerry is a local to Vegas he likes to be able to just drive to us and drop off cases in person. Or just ship a few at a time when they are bought direct off his site. We almost always have a ton in stock at Desert Rock Sports. Also check out his new book Mojave Limestone for sport climbing on limestone in this area. Roughly everything in a 2h radius with a bonus chapter on Rainbow Canyon, a basalt mostly trad area about 2h north of Vegas. Same deal as the RR book, buy it direct from him or in person at Desert Rock Sports.Neither book has ads. Just an awesome amount of routes, tops, pics, maps, etc... Seriously good books and well worth the price. (The normal retail price, ~$50)
