I received the pocket guide on the 16th of February 2012 and I was ready to take the exam on the 24th. The little book is very helpful, everything is sectioned out so it makes it really easy to study. Now it also comes with a little disk..It is filled with over 650 questions that is divided up into categories like A&P, Clinical, Lab, Ethics & Laws etc... This is what got me prepared. I used this disk to give me an idea of what I needed to brush up on and study more. With the disk you can customize your own exam with a specific type of questions or you can take a test simulated like the CMA or RMA. I would recommend studying the instruments more, medicare, and know your metric conversions. I only took the test when I was scoring 95% an above from the disk, that's when I felt comfortable to move forward. After dedicating 8 solid days of my nose in the books and computer, I went for my RMA and I scored a 98% out of 208 questions. I feel I wouldn't have been able to score this high without this purchase. There are so many Medical assistants in the world, you should set yourself apart by being the very few with a high test score. I am using this as an addition to my resume while finding a job. Here in Florida they really look at stuff like that. I feel it also shows your level of commitment to the field. So with this said if you really want to score well, I recommend this buy you can't go wrong for $20.
