I've been a talent management professional for about 15 years and have a Master's in I/O. In grad school I found stats doable, but challenging and stressful. If you are a grad student and struggle with stats, I strongly recommend this book. It is written in plan english (though UK english) and gets to the brass tacks on why you do the stat operations you do with great step-by-step illustrations. In fact, it's descriptions are so simple and useful, I'd bet it's an excellent replacment for your current stats text book, which are written to purposefully confuse (or so it seems).I recently bought this book as a professional because my team's headcount was reduced and now needed to do all the analysis myself. Privately, I anxiously wondered if I would be able to dust off my previous stats knowledge and be able to do all the analysis that my talent analytics group did. In the past, when my former team showed me stuff, I always was amazed by their cool scatter plots, r, anovas, t-tests, regressions, etc. I am now NOT amazed at all thanks to the book. The book makes anyone look very smart and gives you a 'can-do" attitude re statistical approaches and procedures.
