The book of Christian discipline of the Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in BritainQuaker faith & practice ("Qf&p") is the core publication of Britain Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. It is an attempt to express Truth through the vital personal and corporate experience of Friends. It is largely composed of extracts from Friends' writings: a fitting way of expressing the breadth of Quaker theology. It also describes the current structures (church government) of Britain Yearly Meeting. The fifth edition contains eight chapters that have been updated since the fourth edition. The changes include an updated chapter 16 on the Quaker marriage procedure, which now reflects Yearly Meeting’s decision in 2009 to recognise same- and opposite-sex marriage as equal. Other amendments reflect new committee, administrative and accountability structures in the Society, and more open membership procedures.
